Also - I really like this time of the year. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but they start playing Christmas music after Thanksgiving's over, and I like that. The lights go up, the houses become much warmer, people come home from overseas, families bake cookies....I love cookies.
But yes, I do like that Christmas atmosphere. Where I live it doesn't snow, so that's a bit of a bummer, but when we as in my family take vacations, we go to some smashing places, and some of them snow. Like last year we went to Hong Kong, it didn't snow, but I loved Hong Kong, mostly because my parents were born there. It's the perfect fusion of eastern and western cultures.
Plus, their fashion and technology is advanced. If you see something popular in HK, you can bet that about six months later it'll become popular here. I remember my sister noted that there were those high-low dresses in fashion in HK last December (2011), the ones where the front is to your knees and the back is long and flowy. Well, this past summer and a couple of months before that, even now, high-low dresses are in style. DISCLAIMER: Not that I really care, it's just something that I've noted. I love HK for that.

Something that I have done to get into the Christmas/fall/upcoming winter spirit is installed an air freshener into my room. Actually, I did this in September, but whatever. It smells like apple cinnamon, which is probably my most favorite scent ever. It reminds me of Christmas 2010, which ranks as one of my best Christmas's. Christmas's? I don't know if that's the proper grammatical possessive noun spelling, but I'm going to keep it that way.
