Catholicism

I already know that religion is one of the few things that causes a huge shitstorm on the internet, but since no one reads here, I figured it would be okay.
So I do have one question. People who declare themselves as Catholic, do they believe in all aspects of Catholicism? For example, if one is a Catholic, believes strongly in God, but supports gays and equal rights for women (as well), do you still consider them Catholic?
Same thing goes for Christianity, but I think Christianity is a bigger branch.
Buuuut religion is a very personal experience (works as a disclaimer and a cliche) so a lot of it is up for interpretation. However there are a lot of super particular people who adhere to the original rules really well so it's.....
Speaking of which, the Bible was written by men and interpreted by men.....ooh la la feast your eyes upon that
